Hurricane Chaos

Hurricane Chaos is bearing down on us

A poem by Kiran Kodithala, inspired by the current “climate”.

Centuries of privilege,

and unchecked vitriol,

silenced overnight -

a dozen years ago,

by the roots of hope.

This agent of light,

was darkness personified

for the outraged bigots,

yet they waited in silence -

for their sheepherder.

The soundless torrent’s

roar,

ostracized by all,

yet it caught the eye -

of a shark.

The swindler’s eye

roared in force

stoking the resentment -

with hoaxes and lies,

starting a whirlwind.

With his cyclical

chirping tweetstorms,

spewing hate and toxins -

Typhoon Malice

destroys peace.

His neverending knaveries,

backed by a conniving Fox,

Hurricane Chaos

feasts on the carnage

of his innocent cult.
